Students Participate In Battle Of The Books

Posted

Most students count down the days until summer vacation to relax after a school year full of learning, but recently, dozens of Metro middle school students battled it out and continued showing their brain power.

Teams from 30 Metro middle schools went to the Nashville Public Library on Thursday to compete in the 2018 Battle of the Books — an annual reading and book trivia competition.

This year, West End Middle took home top honors. Not only did they take home a trophy, they also got a cool limo ride to an ice cream shop before heading back to school.

Meigs Middle came in second followed by John Early.
