The great grandson of the impressionist artist Pierre Auguste Renoir has shared is art in the mid-state at the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center in Hendersonville.
"Luncheon of the Boating Party" is one of the most famous paintings by Pierre Auguste Renoir. The French impressionist was considered one of the "masters."
In the exhibit at Monthaven, Alexander displays his own style added into some of the famous paintings.
"Its all part of history. I mean this is the luncheon boating party. I had deconstructed and reconstruction on that piece," he said.
But when it comes to his original work, Alexandre prefers nature scenes.
"Im exclusive to oil paint - the lightness and brightness of color and move it," he added.
The exhibit runs through June 10.
