NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Southwest Airlines will resume nonstop flights from Nashville to Cancun, Mexico in November. This will be the first international flight from Nashville International Airport since March when the COVID-19 pandemic sent travel to a halt across the globe.

"This news signals strengthened confidence in travel, and we welcome this renewed opportunity for travelers in Middle Tennessee and beyond," said Doug Kreulen, BNA president and CEO. "We’re delighted that Southwest Airlines is growing options for the community we serve."

Nonstop flights to Cancun on Southwest will return on November 7. The airline will offer this service on Saturdays only until the end of the year.

Southwest will evaluate booking to determine if the airline will continue to offer the service into its January 2021 schedule.
