A son has been arrested in the death of his father.
The crime happened at a home on Brookrun Road late Friday night in Rutherford County.
Officials said they arrested 25-year-old Tanner Lancaster following the death of his father, Parry Lancaster.
The son has been charged with first-degree murder.
Officers were called to the scene of a domestic assault, and they confirmed the father passed away.
According to reports, the father, mother, and son lived in the home.
The son was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where he was being held without bond with a court hearing set for October 29.
