NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two suspects were able to smash their way into a Davidson County gas station Wednesday morning.

The incident happened shortly before 6 a.m. at a Raceway on Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage. This was at least the sixth time the business has been targeted in the past year.

Two suspects wearing masks and gloves were able to get inside of the store by throwing a cinder block through the glass door.

They were in and out in a matter of seconds and got away with two cash registers and about 20 cartons of cigarettes.

It was unknown if these suspects are also responsible for a recent string of smash and grabs around the Metro area. At least five similar incidents have been reported within the last few weeks.

No suspect information was immediately known. Police hope recently released surveillance footage will help in their identification.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
