NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — You may find yourself smelling an unpleasant aroma in Nashville over the next month, as it's time for skunks' annual mating season.
According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), striped skunks have started to mate and "LOVE IS IN THE AIR."
The agency went on to say that the skunks will begin breeding in late February and will most often have one litter a year.
Gestation for a skunk is approximately 62-66 days with their litter sizes ranging from 2-16 skunks.
