Six armed robberies across Nashville possibly linked, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An investigation got underway overnight after six armed robberies were reported across Nashville.

The first happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday and the robberies continued throughout the morning until the last one was reported at 3:29 a.m.

  • Exxon, 1309 Murfreesboro Pike, 12:46 a.m.
  • Mapco, 2827 Smith Springs Road, 12:55 a.m.
  • Mapco, 5040 Nolensville Pike, 1:21 a.m.
  • Circle K, 2200 Nolensville Pike, 1:29 a.m.
  • Shell, 7201 Highway 70 S, 2:34 a.m.
  • Waffle House, 2625 Lebanon Pike, 3:29 a.m.

Officials with the Metro Police Department say they are searching for three suspects believed to be in their early 20s wearing a gray, white and black hoodies - each of them armed with guns.

At each location, the gunmen demanded money. At the five markets, they cumulatively took hundreds of cartons of cigarettes.

Officials say the suspect in the white hoodie wore sagging khaki pants exposing his red underwear, and their getaway car was described as a silver Nissan sedan.

Anyone recognizing the robbers or has information on where the stolen cigarettes are being fenced were asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
