NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Friday morning, 19-year-old Dejuan N. Prime is accused of shooting a 20-year-old man on the steps of 4th Avenue, right next to the WeGo Central bus station.
According to Metro Nashville police, Prime was staring at the victim and then proceeded to follow him and threaten him. In his attempt to flee away from Prime, police say the victim threw a cup of coffee at Prime, leading Prime to pull out gun and shoot the victim.
The victim was sent to Vanderbilt Hospital where he is in stable condition.
Prime is being charged with attempted criminal homicide and the use of a gun in the commission of a dangerous felony.
