Rutherford County detention officer fired following road rage arrest

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Rutherford County Sheriff's Office detention officer was fired after being accused of road rage.

Brandon Gentry was charged with aggravated assault by Murfreesboro police on Tuesday, the sheriff's office said. Gentry was a probationary employee of the department.

The Sheriff's Office of Professional Responsibility was informed of the road rage incident during the criminal investigation. Gentry was terminated from his position after he was charged.
