Riverfront Property For Sale As Centurion Stone Moves HQ

Centurion Stone is moving their headquarters and leaving a large piece of property ready for redevelopment. NewsChannel 5 spoke with the CEO who said it's all about the changing face of Nashville.

The Nashville-grown company is moving to a new facility on Cockrill Bend, leaving behind 12-acres of riverfront property.

"We've been on this side of town, we started in 1968 and moved on this campus in 1999. We manufacture pre-cast stone," said President & CEO Tim Pardue.

Pardue is a Nashville native and said he's excited to see the evolution of Germantown.

"That leaves this facility ready for development to hopefully improve on the Germantown community. Whether it be commercial or mixed-use," he said.

Like Nashville, Pardue said his company is also growing. Centurion currently employs about 220 people and has immediate plans to hire 50 new employees, with more projected to come.

At 300,000 square feet, Centurion's new site is more than double their current manufacturing campus.
