NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A female correctional officer at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution is accused of having a sexual relationship with an inmate.
An affidavit from Metro Nashville police said Emily Dawn Davis was arrested after letters written by her to an inmate were intercepted.
Although she used her middle and maiden name in the letters, she included her home address on the envelope, investigators said. They said she wrote to the inmate about having sex, possibly being pregnant and a second sexual encounter.
A review of security video showed the inappropriate relationship, the police report said. The inmate also admitted to having sex on two occasions.
Davis resigned from the state in mid-May. She's been charged with having sex with an inmate.
