NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Actor and Nashville native Richard Speight Jr. returns to his hometown this weekend as the “Supernatural” convention gets underway at Gaylord Opryland.

Speight is best known for his reoccurring role on the hit show and will take the stage Friday as convention host.

The 48-year-old actor spoke with NewsChannel 5 as he and his father took 50 fans on a bus tour of Nashville, showing off their favorite spots and Music City's history.

"It's been a treat to be involved with ‘Supernatural’ for coming on 15 years. I know a lot of people have grown up with the show,” he said. “I love that fact that a part of the show's journey across the U.S. and Europe, it comes to Nashville, Tennessee, so I get to be a part of a show that love and help that show visit a town that I love.”

The convention wraps on Sunday. Tickets are still available.
