In March, Titans' owner, Amy Adams Strunk, said she was optimistic about their chances to be the host.
Mayor David Briley released the following statement:
“Nashville has proven time and time again that we know how to host big sports events and throw a great party. The NFL Draft will be another wonderful opportunity to bring the sports world to town and show off everything we have to offer. I appreciate all the hard work the Convention & Visitors Corp and others have put into this bid, and I know the city and our many partners in presenting special events will be ready next spring if we’re fortunate enough to be selected.”
