Downtown Nashville is getting a Publix grocery store set to open in fall of 2019.
The retailer announced Wednesday morning that the super market is coming to Capitol View, a 32-acre, mixed-use urban district on Charlotte Avenue.
“We are excited about the pending opening of our new store in Capitol View next year,” said Brenda Reid, media and community relations manager for Publix Super Markets. “We look forward to offering the Publix shopping experience to customers in this new downtown destination location.”
Publix’s Capitol View location will be downtown Nashville’s first full-service grocery store. According to a release, the 27,495-square-foot space will feature deli, bakery, meat and seafood, and pharmacy departments.
The store will be located just east of the corner of 11th Avenue and Charlotte. Free parking will be available in Capitol View’s covered garage.
