A local wedding dress store honored our nation's heroes with a free dress. Glitz Nashville joined Brides Across America today to give military and first responder brides a helping hand.
Women lined up outside the store with some getting there as early as 2:30 a.m., all for the chance to find the perfect dress!
Brides Across America says the goal is to make love rather than financial stress "the star" of the brides' big day.
"A lot of people don't understand what military spouses or miliary individuals go through and how expensive it is aor how complex it is to plan a wedding and to be able to be blessed with a wedding dress is nothing but a miracle," said Carla Singleton.
Since the program launched in 2008, it's given out more 20,000 gowns and 22 full weddings across the country.
