NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Investigations are underway after an apparent murder-suicide at a Nashville hotel.
A man from West Tennessee is accused of killing his girlfriend and then himself.
Metro Police responded to the scene at the DoubleTree Hotel on Fourth Avenue North Monday.
Police say that the 31-year-old man was found in the hotel room with a semi-automatic pistol near his body. The man had suffered injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His 45-year-old girlfriend was also found fatally shot.
Officials report that the last time the hotel room access card was used was at 3:00 a.m.
A hotel staff member discovered the victims at 2:39 p.m.
Police are working to notify the family members of both individuals.
