NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An investigation got underway overnight after two gas stations in Nashville were robbed in a similar manner.
The first incident happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday at a Mapco on Bell Road. About 30 minutes later, another robbery was reported at a Mapco on 21st Avenue South.
In the latter case, officials with Metro Nashville police said three men entered the store and one of them displayed a gun.

They were able to get away with cigarettes and fled in a silver car with a temporary tag towards downtown.
Police said they're investigating a possible link between the two.
"As part of multiple robberies in the area, two of our stores were impacted overnight, one at 21st South, Nashville and the other at Bell Road, Antioch," Mapco's Vice President of Marketing Claudio Daguerressar said. "No guests or team members were injured, both stores are now re-opened. Safety in our stores is our priority and we are working with law enforcement to identify the perpetrators. We appreciate the quick response and support of our local Police Department."
