LEBANON, Tenn. – Officials responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 40 West in Wilson County.

The incident was reported Thursday morning along westbound lanes near mile marker 240, just past Lebanon.

Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed the wreck was fatal. On Friday, authorities identified the semi-truck driver who was killed as 73-year-old Bobby Bray, of Arkansas.

According to the crash report, the semi left the right side of the roadway and overturned in a treeline.

The right lane was blocked as emergency vehicles worked on the scene. It was not known what the truck was hauling.

Traffic was heavily congested along I-40 West.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash. Authorities said Bray was wearing a seat belt.
