Pedestrian Killed In Allen County, Kentucky Crash

Troopers with the Kentucky State Police said a single-vehicle crash killed a pedestrian.

The wreck happened around 3:20 a.m. Saturday on US 31E, just north of KY 101.

An investigation showed a 2006 grey Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by 42-year-old James Hawks, was headed north. At the same time, 68-year-old Jerry Emery was on foot crossing the road.

Emery was hit and killed by the Trailblazer.

Authorities said Hawks was not injured and confirmed toxicology reports were pending.
 
The investigation remained ongoing.
