A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Barren County, Kentucky.
The wreck happened just before 1:15 p.m. Friday in the 8000 block of New Bowling Green Road.
Authorities stated 73-year-old Barbara Goodall, of Smiths Grove, was standing on the side of the road at a mailbox.
According to 54-year-old Timothy Dick, the driver of a Ford F250 who was not injured in the crash, Goodall started to walk back across the road as he approached.
He told authorities he sounded his horn and moved partially off the roadway to avoid her. However, officials said Goodall continued across the road and hit the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Goodall died at the scene. Further details were not available.
