Westbound I-40 has reopened after a semi overturned at the junction of I-24 in Nashville.

The incident happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. Friday at exit 213A, a ramp heading towards I-440 West and I-24 East.

At one point, eastbound I-40 was also closed below because the semi was partially hanging over the side of the barrier.

It was unclear what caused the tractor trailer to overturn. The truck was hauling packages from Amazon.

Minor injuries were reported in the wreck.

After nearly two hours, one lane of I-40 West reopened; however, the wreck wasn't fully cleared until around 11:30 a.m.
