NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville firefighters have responded to a deadly fire at what is believed to be a homeless camp on Cuvert Street in Nashville.
When fire crews arrived to 20 Cuvert Street, they found a fire in the wooded area of the camp.
Witnesses told firefighters someone was using a 70lb propane tank in their tent and the tank exploded. They said they couldn't get the person out of the tent because it was still on fire. However, firefighters found the tank which appears to be completely discharged, conflicting with witness statements that that tank exploded.
The fire was extinguished. And a victim was found. Fire Investigators and Metro Nashville Police detectives are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
