NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Downtown Nashville residents now have another option when it comes to grocery shopping.
The new Publix opened first thing Wednesday morning at Capitol View, a mixed-use development on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The 27,000 square-foot store is the first Publix in downtown and features a full-service pharmacy, deli and bakery.
The grocery store chain says it hopes this store will help fill a void for people who live downtown and have to drive a few miles to the nearest store.
The store is bringing 120 new jobs to the area, although most of those positions have already been filled. Click here for more information.
