NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville International Airport is one step closer to finishing "BNA Vision," a massive renovation project.
BNA expects airport traffic to grow from 18 to 23 million passengers as the city continues to grow. By 2023 you'll see new gates, 10 more security lines, an international arrivals building, and much more.
Airport officials say the new terminal garage is also close to being ready. Messer Construction just finished the last portion of it after 9 months of work and more than 200 million pounds of concrete. The garage is expected to open in the summer.
As of Thursday, BNA now offers an adult changing table for passengers with special needs. It tweeted this picture, saying you can find it in the family restroom near Gate C-15.
New restaurants are also on the way to BNA, with more options opening later this year. By the end of the year, there will be 50 new shops and places to eat. By 2023, there will be 90 new places to check out.
To give you an idea, you can expect to see restaurants unique to Nashville, like Barista Parlor and Biscuit love, and of course you'll have hot chicken choices like Hattie B's and Party Fowl. 8th & roast, Pyramids Cafe, and Urban Juicer are confirmed for spring of this year.
