NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — There's a new, multi-million dollar project coming to one of Nashville's most popular neighborhoods.
The Nashville Business Journal reports Atlanta developer Jim Irwin is shelling out more than 26 million dollars in cash for six acres of land near the former Neuhoff meat-packing plant by the Cumberland River.
That gives him a total of 15 acres to work with when he builds a massive development that will include 600 residential units, 150,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and 650,000 square feet of office space all overlooking the river.
The buildings could be as much as 15 stories high.
It’s not a done deal just yet. Metro Council needs to approve a zoning change before it's official.
