ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WTVF) — A metro police officer was sent to the hospital overnight after she was assaulted at a gas station in Antioch.
It happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday.
Officer Autumn Manning was patrolling the area when she noticed two people were fighting at a closed Shell gas station located at the 190 block of Haywood Lane.
Authorities say the officer tried breaking up a fight when she was assaulted.
She was sent to Vanderbilt Hospital where she’s being treated for minor injuries. Since this morning, Metro Police have updated the public on Manning's condition via their Twitter page.

The attacker has since been arrested at his home on Townes Court.
