GALLATIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — The number of residents killed by COVID-19 at a Gallatin nursing home has risen to at least 20.
Following an outbreak last month, the death toll at the Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing continued to increase. It was briefly closed to be cleaned and sanitized, but reopened despite concerns from city and county officials.
Dozens of the nursing home’s residents remain hospitalized at Sumner Regional Medical Center. The facility is one of several elder-care facilities within Tennessee that has reported COVID-19 cases, which the Tennessee Dept. of Health released a list of on Friday.
