NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tina Brown has nothing left of the North Nashville home she has lived in for the last decade was cut in half by Tuesday's deadly tornado.
"By the time we got out of bed everything was on top of us," she said.
All week though hundreds of strangers have descended on this neighborhood hit hard by Tuesday's tornado. Many of them armed with nothing but rubber gloves and a desire to help.
"There's so many good people out here, it's amazing," she added.
When the tornado first struck residents in this neighborhood largely felt ignored by volunteers and the media. But two days later after the storms came through this neighborhood was filled with volunteers helping to move debris.
Many homes here are so damaged they'll have to be demolished.
