NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Current and former NFL players handed out bags of food to every student at Shwab Elementary School. The NFL prospects put the bags together as part of the Huddle for Hunger project.
Titan DE Jurrell Casey fit right in with the kindergarten students and so did former falcon Jessie Tuggle. They took a break from the draft to visit kids at Shwab Elementary.
"It's our duty to come out and spread love in the community. They show us support and without them we nothing and football not where it's at.
Bengals player Geno Atkins says for him giving back is the best part of his job.
"I used to be in kindergarten looking up to athletes and doctors and to come back and play and interact with them is a big deal and remember them for the rest of their lives," said Atkins.
The kidgergartners took to them immediately. They played games and put puzzles together, and there may be future NFL prospects in this classroom.
The draft will be over this weekend, but these players have igven thes kids a memory for a lifetime.
