NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The federal trial for Wendy Askins has been postponed yet again.
Askins was the subject of a NewsChannel 5 investigation three years ago.
The head of the Upper Cumberland Development District in Cookeville poured more than a million dollars in agency money into that home in rural Putnam County that she called "Living the Dream."
Askins was indicted two years ago, along with her assistant director Larry Webb, on a host of federal charges.
The two were supposed to go on trial Monday.
But prosecutors waited until this past Monday to turn some evidence over to the defense.
The trial has now been set for September 22.
