A man connected with at least two local pain clinics is the focus of a federal manhunt.

NewsChannel 5 Investigates first told you about pain clinics in Murfreesboro and Hendersonville associated with Zachary Rose.

Rose is now a fugitive.

A federal indictment just unsealed in Florida accuses Rose and 12 other of illegally selling highly addictive pain killers.

Federal prosecutors in the Middle District of Florida have charged five doctors and eight employees with conspiracy to distribute narcotics.

Among those charged is the man listed as the owner, 27-year-old Zachary Rose.

Rose has no known medical education or background but he came to own three pain clinics in Jacksonville that agents shut down last year.

According to federal investigators, Rose made millions of dollars selling oxycodone and other pain killers.

NewsChannel 5 Investigates first reported that Rose is connected with at least two Middle Tennessee pain clinics.

He identified himself as the owner of Total Pain Solutions in Murfreesboro -- a clinic that quickly got the attention of police.

Neighboring businesses in the usually quiet strip mall complained about crowds and drug dealing in the parking lot.

Earlier this month, we went inside looking for Rose.

NewsChannel 5 Investigates asked, "Is the owner here, Zachary Rose?"

A woman at the desk responded, "No."

NewsChannel 5 Investigates followed with, "Where is he?"

The woman responded, "I don't know."

The Murfreesboro clinic as well as its sister clinic in Hendersonville employed a security guard.

The guard grew tired of our questions and tried to force us out.

Florida Investigators said Rose has a history of concealing his ownership in clinics.

For now, Murfreesboro police are watching the Murfreesboro clinic but it remains open.

The Hendersonville clinic has been evicted from its original location.

Rose and one of the Florida doctors are also charged in the death of a man who overdosed in Jacksonville hotel.

Federal agents have arrested some of those indicted, but so far they have not found Rose.
