A fake Brad Pitt obituary is circulating Facebook.
But watch out — clicking the link could give a hacker control of your account, according to TMZ.com.
The hoax appears to be a breaking news alert from FOX News, but actually is a way for hackers to get access to passwords and other sensitive data through your phone, computer or other devices.
A Facebook spokesperson talked with CNNMoney about the situation.
“This malware isn’t new and is known to come from malicious browser extensions,” a Facebook spokesperson told CNNMoney. “Facebook [notifies] people when we detect malware on their computer, and we help them clean it up.”
