NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Sounds of the holiday season filled Nashville's First Baptist Church Sunday night. The church hosted Nashville's Reading Orchestra for a holiday performance.
It was the group of 37 musician's second performance together. The Reading Orchestra formed during the summer as a way to give musicians a chance to keep playing during the pandemic. That same spirit led to holding Sunday night's event.
"Even in times of a pandemic, and a stressful time as that, that we can still come together as a community and enjoy each others company, and celebrate the season and what it's there for," said the orchestra's conductor, Dr. Joshua Shepherd.
