Temperatures are heating up and that means swimsuit season is right around the corner. Now, local designer, Terilynn Bartlett McQuiston, is making a splash.
She works in a sea of teal walls and stretchy fabrics.
"I used to sew with my grandmother," she said.
McQuiston notes she is nowhere near water.
"It's kind of odd. It's like I'm in the middle of Nashville. We're landlocked," she said.
Her swimsuit company is called Hella TL Swimwear.
The Nashville native is a new mom and works a full time job, but she spends all of her free time cutting and stitching and sewing the latest looks.
"I love color and I love the process of picking out the fabric [and] dreaming up the design," she said.
Now she's waiting for her big break.
"I would love for someone to contact me and say, 'I love your stuff can I sell it in my shop,'" she said.
