Restaurant raises money for servers working at Husk a fellow restaurant that recently closed after a fire damaged much of the kitchen.
The electrical fire happened early Thursday morning, but on Monday the community came together to help the staff who is out of work.
At Two Ten Jack in East Nashville, the restaurant donated 5 percent of sales, and servers contributed 10 percent of their tips to their counterparts at Husk.
"It makes me happy to be from here. It makes be proud to see my community come together for everyone like this," said Jessica Benefield.
The idea caught on, and many other businesses joined in.
No one was inside the building at the time, and no one was injured, but the restaurant was forced to close.
Parnassus Books in Green Hills also joined the cause and donated 5 percent of sales.
