NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Technology has become an essential part of education, but some students don't always have access to computers or internet.

That's why the Metro Development and Housing Agency helped out some students in Nashville.

The department worked with Napier Enhanced Option Elementary School and nearby apartment complexes to help those with limited digital access.

On Friday, MDHA gave 39 laptops and two years of high-speed internet to students in need.

As it continues this program, MDHA plans to provide nearly one thousand laptops.
