The names of the victims in a fatal motorcycle crash were released.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol officials, Robert Mardres and Pamela Passmore were killed when a car crashed into the motorcycle they were on.

It happened around 6 p.m. on State Route 231 near the Lebanon and Rutherford County line.

The THP report said the driver of the vehicle was 18-year-old Cyrus J. Compton. Officials said his 1996 Lincoln Towncar crossed into the other lane hitting the motorcycle head-on.

Both Mardres and Passmore were wearing helmets. The driver of the car was drug tested, and could face changes based on the results of those tests.

The highway was closed for about four hours while officials investigated the crash.
