MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — Mt. Juliet Elementary school students will be returning to remote learning from Monday, Oct. 26 to Friday, Nov. 6.

School officials made the announcement Friday on social media. Students are set to return to classrooms in person Monday, Nov. 9.

The decision was made due to the county's recent rise in COVID-19 cases and mandatory quarantines. All Kids Club activities at the school were also canceled from Oct. 26 to Nov. 6.

A cleaning service will be used to sanitize the school. School and district officials will be in contact with parents, teachers, staff and students with any additional special instructions and guidance during this time.

Officials said meals won't be provided during the remote learning break. Any families who need to pick-up school meals were asked to contact the cafeteria manager at any other school for convenient hot meal pick-up. Their information is listed here.
