MOUNT PLEASANT, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Mount Pleasant police officer was stabbed while conducting a welfare check at a home.
The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at a residence on Washington Avenue.
Mount Pleasant police confirmed the officer was stabbed by a woman at the house. She was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials confirmed the officer had been with the department for about a year. Her name was not immediately released.
