Police said two men are on the run after a deadly crash in Antioch involving a stolen car.
Metro Nashville Police officers said a Dodge Challenger slammed into a Honda Motor Scooter on Baby Ruth Lane near Mt. View Road around 9:30 Tuesday night.
The car left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. The suspects left the sedan at the scene of the crash and took off before police arrived.
Police said the driver of the scooter, 48-year-old Vernon D. Knight, died at the scene.
Prior to the collision, witnesses reported seeing the Challenger passing vehicles across the double yellow line and into oncoming traffic.
The car was a rental vehicle and was reported stolen from Nashville International Airport. Police said the car is being processed for evidence.
