NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Thankfully much quieter weather will settle in for the next two days. Temperatures will also be much cooler with most folks waking up to freezing temperatures by daybreak Thanksgiving morning. Clouds will be on the increase Thursday and a handful of raindrops may sneak in late Thursday night, but all-in-all it'll be a mostly dry Thanksgiving.
Things won't stay dry though. Another potent cold front looks to howl across the middle part of the country late Thursday night. It'll bring a soaking rain and more gusty wind to Tennessee & Kentucky.
It's a large scale system that may cause more travel troubles across the middle part of the U.S. on Saturday. More snow is expected across the Northern tier, with strong gusty wind from Chicago down through Nashville. Rain will once again soak folks from the Great lakes down to the Gulf coast.
