NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Waverly Belmont Elementary School student has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a letter sent to staff and parents.
Any considered to have had close contact with the student have been notified and instructed to quarantine for 14 days.
The letter said school officials are working closely with the health department to avoid closing the school.
Metro students returned to in-person learning just three days ago following the district's fall break.
