NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Student doctors, dentists and faculty from Meharry Medical College are going to be conducting wellness checks in North Nashville Saturday for victims of the Tennessee tornadoes.
From 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., the Meharry volunteers will be going door to door checking on the victims and offering assistance for residents who have been impacted by the tornadoes.
These efforts will be led by Mobile Health Partners and Salt Wagon Clinic. Volunteers will be handing out care packages of resources, including first aid supplies, batteries, hand sanitizer, diapers and feminine protection, as well as other essential items.
Physicians will also be available to address any urgent medical needs.
