WAYNESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Wayne County will implement a mask mandate starting at 11:59 p.m. on November 18.

A mask covering the nose and mouth will be required when in public areas and outside when at least six-feet of distancing can't be maintained.

Anyone who is 12 years old or younger is excluded from the order, however students on school property or at school events are subject to mask mandates implemented by a local board of education.

Businesses and facilities in the county are asked to post signage at public entrances informing patrons of the mask mandate.

The mandate will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on December 29.
