Marijuana, $36K Seized In Drug Bust

A West Nashville man was arrested for selling high-grade marijuana and marijuana edibles.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department arrested 34-year-old Darren Cleary Monday.

Officers seized two pounds of processed marijuana, several pounds of marijuana edible items (including gummy bears), and $36,235 cash from his home on Belton Drive after a month-long investigation.

Police also found a storage unit on Annex Avenue that Cleary used to hide an additional 54.5 pounds of processed marijuana. he seized marijuana and edible products were estimated to cost about $150,000.

Cleary was charged with two counts of possessing marijuana for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
