MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Manchester father is charged with killing his infant child Saturday.
Gavin Clark, 21, faces counts of first degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of his five-week-old son.
Manchester detectives say Clark was home watching the child while the mother was at work. When she returned home, she noticed something was wrong with the boy. They rushed him to Tennova hospital in Tullahoma.
The child had severe head trauma and brain injuries that caused doctors to notify police.
The child was transferred to Vanderbilt, where he died from his injuries.
Officers questioned the parents and other family members.
They took Clark into custody. He is held on $2 million bond.
The case remains under investigation.
