Man tased, arrested after crashing into La Vergne Police cruiser

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WTVF) — La Vergne officers tased and arrested a man after he crashed into a police cruiser in the police department parking lot.

Public Information Officer Anne Smith said in a press release several officers were in the back lot when the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

They drew their weapons and ordered the driver out of the car. However, when he didn't comply, an officer tased him, according to the release.

The man was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. No officers were injured.
