Man lifeflighted to hospital after motor scooter crash

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 71-year-old man was flown to the hospital after a motor scooter accident Tuesday afternoon in Clarksville.

Police say the man was riding a motor scooter on Madison St. in the left lane when a pickup truck attempted to pass the scooter in the right lane.

The truck had partially passed the scooter when the man signaled to change to the right lane where the truck was driving.

Police say the motor scooter made contact with the truck causing the rider to lose control and crash.

The man was Lifeflighted to a Nashville hospital with a head injury.

The man's condition and name are unknown at this time.
