A man was killed in Simpson County, Kentucky when his vehicle became submerged in floodwater.
The man was found around 2:20 p.m. Saturday in Drakes Creek near the low water crossing on Kenny Perry Drive.
The victim was identified on Sunday as 69-year-old Kenneth Boren, of Franklin.
Boren's vehicle was found submerged, and authorities said when they recovered him, he had passed away.
Reports from the sheriff’s office stated the roadway had been closed before the incident due to high water in that area.
