NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was injured in a shooting in Cookeville Friday.
Cookeville Police officials say 22-year-old Jonathan D. Ownby of Cookeville was shot in the abdomen. Detectives say three unknown suspects entered a home on the 900 block of Bill Smith Road.
A struggle occurred after the suspects entered the home, leading to the shooting, according to officials. The three suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Ownby was transported to the Cookeville Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. He was treated and released.
